The pricing we feel needs to be "Flexible", as it really will depend on many factors, but here's a basic idea:
For the purpose of comfort, we want to be sure you folks have room on the boat. The cockpit and fishing space of the Black Dog is huge, but even on the biggest of offshore charter boats, its difficult to fish more than 2 rods at a time unless we're trolling with our spreads and outriggers.
We have decided that trips for Stripers & Blues, we can accomedate 4 people nicely, and 6 is possible with some organization on the deck. Tuna, Cod, Haddock, Shark, & SCUBA charters, we suggest a 4 person max on the boat , but its open for discussion, if a couple of them are Non anglers, perhaps just want to come for the ride, or get some sun, We may be able to make arrangements for that, and save you some money........... for example;
Say 3-4 people want to book a trip for the day, and their significant others would love to come, but not fish....we're not going to make you pay for 2 more people, their welcome to come for free and join you, so it can be affordable.
And maybe this will make it a bit easier to get the "OK" to go !
Please dont forget, Mates work for tips, and they work hard to make sure your trip goes smooth, from washing the boat to filleting your catch, and everything in between, Most people Tip GREAT when they catch fish, but the truth is, its days that the fish dont cooperate so well that the mates of the world work their hardest!, please take care of these hardworking guys, & girls whenever you fish with ANY charter service........
Our prices have slightly gone up to help us cover
the added fuel costs, as it stood, we never really
made alot of money, and as you can imagine @ $4.00+
a gallon for fuel, we just need to make up for that
Please understand....it costs me $750.00 a fill up now..
so at the end of a days fishing, that doesnt leave much for the slip, bait, insurance, boat payments, tackle, upkeep...etc etc...
All day Stripers & Blues:
meet at the dock @ 5-7am, and we're typically fishing 8-10 hours
This kind of trip typically runs $600.00 for the days fishing
1/2 day Stripers & Blues:
1/2 day (4-5 hours or typically one tide) runs $400.00
1/2 day (4-5 hours or typically one tide, evening / or night hours) runs $600.00 (stripers love the night bite)
Weekday afternoon / Afterschool special:
5-8 pm Monday thru Friday,3 hours of fishing time, $300.00
This is a great trip & very popular, enjoy the evening bite, grab a pizza or whatever, and have supper on the water, and still be in bed by 10 pm and ready for work / school the next day ! (call early to book the best tides !)
Tuna Charters:
These are All day Offshore trips, meeting at the dock early 5-6 am, back for 4-5 pm.
This trip is sight casting early AM & afternoon trolling for schoolie Bluefin Tuna.
We like to troll & cast hardware and fresh baits for tuna, We try to "pick our days" for these offshore trips and get the most bang for your buck as far as what the bite is at that time, and the weather / Marine forecasts. This is our favorite fishing, so dont be surprised to see us "pulling out all the stops" to get into these bad boys....
This trip runs $1000.00 for the full day offshore
Haddock & Cod:
6-8 hour full day trips meet at the dock early 5-8 am, back for 1-3 pm.
This trip is all day, fishing Jeffries Ledge & Stellwagon bank, bottom fishing for the day,
and alot of times (depending on the day we had offshore) we can try to hit
the tide right coming back in to the river and maybe end the day with some striper fishing..?
This trip runs $800.00 for the day
Shark Fishing:
These are All day Offshore trips, meeting at the dock early 5-6 am, back for 4-5 pm.
This trip is all day, Chumming & Chunk / Live bait fishing for JAWS......
This trip runs $800.00 for the day
SCUBA Charters:
1/2 day trips with1-2 tank dives
$150.00 per diver, proof of scuba certification, and experience required, And your resonsible for ALL your own gear.
We try to adhere as best we can to "scheduled times", but to be honest, if were catching fish, and you dont mind, I doubt very much we'll be heading back at any "set" time, unless weather, safety, or a prior commitment obligates us to do so. We enjoy this so much, that as long as you don't mind us grabbing a rod and fishing right beside yah, we'll have some "extended" charters im sure!
We're also open to other idea's as well, like; Harbor Sunset tours, Cocktail & Appetizer cruise's, Birthday Parties,
we're open to pretty much anything...... ...just Ask,,,!
